Maureen is the owner of Focus Point Therapy, LLC and has been practicing Occupational Therapy at this clinic for almost 2 decades. The clinic is located in Southfield, Michigan. Maureen has 17 years of experience in hospitals, 10 years of home care, plus earned her Certified Aging in Place certification. She has evaluated and worked with school aged children in a dozen schools over the past 20 years. She is certified in the Sensory Integration and Praxis Test.
Maureen has effective tools she has picked up over the years that provides her specialties, resulting in amazing outcomes for a variety of ages and conditions, with expertise in multiple areas of interventions.
Maureen has advanced training in and specializes in pain management, traumatic brain recovery, cognitive memory recovery, and those with learning challenges including adults with reading comprehension and attention problems.
She is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin earning a Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy and a graduate from Eastern Michigan University with a Master of Science in Occupational Therapy.
She has three significant transformational stories that have occurred during her lifetime. These events have been so life-changing that she has hope for others who have lost hope for improvements in their own lives until she evaluates, coaches and treats them.
Maureen is an out-of-the-box critical thinker with her own unique learning style who has been ahead of the curve since she was very young.
